Episode 3: Ndapewa on Fashion

Fenny Ndapewa, a social geographer from Namibia, will talk about how fashion reveals social status, how dress codes are embedded in the mindscapes of colonialism and how the styling of different groups conveys them an identity and nationalistic belonging.

Luís Cronopio is a master student and researcher of African culture at the University of Cologne. His academic background combines nursing sciences, tropical health and anthropology. His main research interest focuses on political philosophy, art history of the 20th century, socio-anthropology of health and anthropology of drugs.
